Billing is configured per branch, from a library of country tax profiles. There are profiles for 22 countries: the six GCC states and 16 European countries (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Greece and Poland), each with its VAT rate, local labels and invoice title.
Each branch carries its own legal identity: legal and trading names, tax ID, licence number and address. Invoice numbers are gapless with your prefixes, credit notes have a separate series, and voided numbers are retained. Prices can be tax-inclusive or exclusive, with per-category rates and your service charge treatment.
Invoices can be bilingual, with Arabic and English side by side, in several templates, as a thermal print or a PDF. A fixed calculation order (subtotal, discount, service charge, VAT, tips) matches across the guest app, the waiter app and the portal. Finance gets consistent, auditable invoices, and guests get a proper receipt.
WowMenu supports your country's VAT format. It does not claim tax or e-invoicing compliance or certification, and your setup should be reviewed by your accountant or tax adviser.
How it connects
What the owner sets up or sees in the portal, and what the guest sees in the QR menu. Screens are from the demo restaurant, Maison Lumière, with demo data.
The owner sets the legal identity, and the guest can ask for a company invoice
The branch legal identity and invoice numbering are set once in the portal. A guest who needs a company invoice adds their company name and tax ID at payment.

Every payment ends up as a numbered invoice
Whichever way the guest pays, the portal lists the invoice with its number, status and tax.
